They will both be in our store to celebrate the release of their new books, The Two Week Curse and Age of Stone! If you’re a fan of LitRPG or science-fiction and fantasy in general, you will love both of these titles.
Michael Chatfield served in the Canadian military before becoming a full-time author. Known for blending tactical realism, progression systems, and immersive world-building, he has built some of the most successful independent series in speculative fiction. Starting originally with breakout Science Fiction hits such as Free Fleet and Harmony War he transitioned toward Fantasy and completed one of the first western Fantasy LitRPG series, while Restarting the Apocalypse marked his biggest debut release to date. With The Four Horsemen, Death Knight, and Builder’s Legacy, Michael expanded further into military science fiction and progression fantasy. His Harmony War series also crossed into gaming, inspiring the creation of a first-person shooter title. Today, his works span fantasy, science fiction, and subgenres including military science fiction, LitRPG, and progression fantasy, cementing him as one of the leading voices in independent speculative fiction. His title The Two Week Curse is a LitRPG and portal fantasy meets military science fiction and is the first installment in The Ten Realms series.
Jez Cajiao ditched school at 11 to join the family catering circus– because who need algebra when you’ve got appetizers, right? After feeding people for years, he escape to Greece to sling drinks and live his best bartender life. (The stories from that era are locked in a vault marked “What Happens in Greece”…) Next came welding — sparks flying, metal melting, living the dream! Until his lungs said “nope” and give him welder’s lung as a not-so-fun parting gift. Then 2020 happened. Pandemic + dodgy lungs = mandatory couch time. But instead of binge-watching Netflix like a normal person, Jez decided to write. Every. Day. Plot twist: readers actually liked his stuff! Now he’s living his best author life in South Shields, surround by his wife, two kids, two dogs, three cats, 20 chickens, a hamster called “fay-nay” (don’t ask) and the legendary Sanddancers (local dance troupe or mythical creatures — you decide). His title Age of Stone is a dark fantasy meets Dungeon Core LitRPG, and the first installment in the Rise of Mankind series!
