Dungeon Crawler Carl is Becoming a Webcomic!

November 22, 2023 by Aethon Editor 17 Comments

We have been very busy announcing new projects and partners in our efforts to bring readers more webcomics based on their favorite properties. Now we have one more series to add to the mix.

In a very special Thanksgiving Treat (for those of our readers in the US), we have agreed to a deal with Matt Dinniman to create a webcomic for his smash-hit Series, DUNGEON CRAWLER CARL!

With his patented quick wit, high-octane action, and dark humor, Dinniman has taken readers by storm with this beloved apocalyptic LitRPG.

Hundreds of thousands of sales and tens of thousands of 5-star ratings later, we are thrilled to bring this massively popular series to a new format, together with the incredible team at Laurel Pursuit Art Studio.

More info to come, but expect to go dungeon diving with Carl once more in 2024!

About The Series:

The apocalypse will be televised!

A man. His ex-girlfriend’s cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible.

In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth—from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds—collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground.

The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot. A dungeon so enormous, it circles the entire globe.

Only a few dare venture inside. But once you’re in, you can’t get out. And what’s worse, each level has a time limit. You have but days to find a staircase to the next level down, or it’s game over. In this game, it’s not about your strength or your dexterity. It’s about your followers, your views. Your clout. It’s about building an audience and killing those goblins with style.

You can’t just survive here. You gotta survive big.

You gotta fight with vigor, with excitement. You gotta make them stand up and cheer. And if you do have that “it” factor, you may just find yourself with a following. That’s the only way to truly survive in this game—with the help of the loot boxes dropped upon you by the generous benefactors watching from across the galaxy.

They call it Dungeon Crawler World. But for Carl, it’s anything but a game

Incredible news! My favorite LitRPG story combined with one my favorite visual media! What more could I ask for. This is a dream come true, I can only hope that this becomes to popular they’re able to stability hire and employ the most passionate artists and crew. I cannot wait! Here’s to the wonderful future of weekly drops of visual splendor to bring Carl and Donut’s story to life.

I would love to see the artwork for this series! Part of the appeal is the work that Matt has done with Jeff to bring the characters to life in the audible versions from Sound Booth Theatre.

I think this could become a massive franchise… I’m a 46 year old Special Education support instructor Nurse, in my personal experience this series appeals across age and demographics… there is truly something for everyone!
